Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several states are likely to witness heavy rain, along with gusty winds and thunderstorms in the coming days. As per the weather department, heavy rainfall is expected in at least 15 states across the country. The western and central states will continue to receive heavy downpour, the IMD added. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their days accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

Heavy Rain Likely In Many States

While providing details, the weather department stated that heavy rainfall is likely in several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. It further stated that moderate rainfall is expected in other regions such as West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Kerala, and Lakshadweep.

Apart from this, scattered rain is also possible over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The continuous rainfall is likely to cause waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences to the residents.

The weather department has stated that rainfall is likely to continue in Delhi and nearby cities for the next few days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 34 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 24 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, humidity is expected to range from 85 per cent in the morning to 55 per cent in the afternoon.

Forecast For Multiple States:

- Uttar Pradesh: Rain is likely in several districts of eastern and western parts of the state
- Bihar: Light Rain, thunderstorms, and lightning are likely at isolated places. Apart from this, heavy rain is also possible in some southern districts
- Rajasthan: Light to moderate rain and strong winds are likely in the northwest parts of the state. Apart from this, heavy rainfall may continue in eastern Rajasthan
- West Bengal and Sikkim: Moderate to widespread rain is expected on Wednesday
