Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several northern and eastern states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall on Friday. As per the weather update, several states, including Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal, are likely to experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning along with rain. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

Delhi-NCR Weather Update

As per the advisory, the residents of Delhi are likely to witness cloudy skies throughout the day amid the ongoing BRICS summit. The capital city, along with the nearby cities, including Noida and Gurugram, is expected to witness light rain. The IMD has stated that the rain activities in the capital city are likely to increase after Friday, potentially leading to waterlogging in the lower regions.

Heavy Rain Likely In Odisha

The weather department stated that several districts of Odisha, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudhagada, Nuapada, Balangir, Malkangiri, Puri, Khordah, and Nayagada, are set to witness heavy rainfall at least till September 13.

Fresh Rain Alert In UP, Bihar

A yellow alert for rain and thunderstorms has been issued in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Bahraich, Kheri, Sitapur, Shravasti, Barabanki, Gonda, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Pratapgarh, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, and Mau.

Apart from this, the southern districts of Bihar are also set to witness similar weather conditions in the coming days, the IMD stated. The farmers of both the states have been advised to protect their crops and not hide beneath any big tree or electricity pole during the rain.

The weather department has stated that the coastal regions of the southern states, such as Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, are also likely to witness fresh rainfall on Friday.
