The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday appointed Nitin Nabin, Urban Development and Housing Minister of Bihar, as its national working president. While reacting to this news, Nabin stated that he was unaware of the development until the announcement was made. Nabin further stated that he could not imagine becoming the party's president in his "wildest dreams", reported Dainik Jagran. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the current party president, JP Nadda, for giving such a huge responsibility to a "normal party worker". The first electoral challenge in front of Nabin will be the much-hyped Bengal Assembly election.
In a conversation with Dainik Jagran, Nabin stated that only BJP can appoint an ordinary party worker as its president. The BJP leader further stated that he was completely unaware that the party would give him such a big responsibility, adding that the BJP has a history of promoting the leaders who work hard. Nabin emphasised that the organisation would be strengthened from the booth to the national level to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.
While talking about the upcoming electoral challenges, Nabin stated the BJP always works on the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas". He further stated that the objective is to ensure inclusive and non-discriminatory development for all sections of society. Nabin also stated that the party has won the trust of people in all the regions of the country, adding it will also register victory in the upcoming polls.
Earlier on Sunday, he asserted that the hardworking party workers have been noticed by the top brass and are also rewarded. "I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the central leadership, Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defence Minister and everyone in the central leadership for giving me this opportunity. I have the Prime Minister's blessings, and I will further advance the guidance and leadership he has provided," Nabin told ANI.
"It's the hard work of the party workers, and I believe that when you work as a dedicated worker, the senior leaders of the party always take note of that, and I will continue to work with them," he added.
