Bondi Beach Shooting: At least 16 people, including a 10-year-old girl, were killed in a terror attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday after gunmen opened fire at a Jewish community event marking the start of Hanukkah. Authorities said the victims ranged in age from 10 to 87, making it one of the deadliest mass shootings in Australia’s recent history.

New South Wales Police confirmed the attack was carried out by a father-and-son pair aged 50 and 24. Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said investigators made rapid progress overnight and were satisfied that only two perpetrators were involved. The 50-year-old Pakistani gunman died at the scene, while his 24-year-old son remains in hospital in critical condition.
