Noida Airport Update: Uttar Pradesh’s economic capital, Noida, will be directly connected to India's financial capital, Mumbai, on June 15. To further strengthen financial and business activities, IndiGo's first flight to Mumbai will depart from Noida International Airport, jagran.com reported.
Ticket bookings for passenger flights from Noida Airport are expected to begin on Thursday, May 7. Plans are also in place to honour farmers who donated land for the airport's first phase in Lucknow and to fly to Ayodhya for darshan of Lord Shri Ram on the first day. In addition to IndiGo Airlines, two other flights will begin on the first day.
Why Will First Flight Be To Mumbai?
Noida has become a hub of economic activity in the state. A large number of people from Mumbai commute daily to Noida, NCR, for business purposes, and for national and multinational enterprises.
IndiGo will operate its first flight from Noida International Airport, making travel between Noida and Mumbai easier for business and trade travellers. Ticket sales are expected to begin on Thursday.

Direct air service from Mumbai to Noida Airport will further accelerate Noida's economic development. On June 15, IndiGo's second flight from Noida Airport will begin operating between Lucknow and Ayodhya.
In this special flight, those farmers who had given consent for acquisition of their land for the airport will be taken to Lucknow and honoured.

Officials said that in addition to IndiGo, Akasa and Air India Express will also schedule regular flights from Noida Airport. Flights and fares from Noida Airport to various cities across the country will become clear in due course.
Various departments and airline companies have begun preparations at the airport for the resumption of flight services on June 15. Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh recently met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow and proposed that farmers who donated land for the first phase of the airport be honoured in Lucknow by flying them from Noida Airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given his approval to this proposal.
After Noida Airport received approval for its airport security program from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security on April 28, IndiGo announced plans to resume services from June 15.
