Greater Noida Horror: A shocking incident happened in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida on Friday evening when a black Mahindra Thar SUV caused chaos after allegedly evading payment at a petrol pump. After filling up with diesel at a station in the Dhoom Manikpur area, 22-year-old Harsh tried to flee, pretending to pay online. Pump employee Kuldeep Sharma gave chase on his motorcycle, only for the Thar to collide with him at the GT Road and National Highway 91 intersection, dragging his bike for almost 5 to 7 kilometres.
Motorcycle Caught Fire
The incident was caught on CCTV cameras installed in the area. The footage captures a harrowing scene as the motorcycle ignites while being dragged, yet the Thar keeps speeding down the highway with the burning bike still in tow. Despite bystanders shouting and urging the driver to stop, he continued driving without slowing down.
Police received information and launched a search, stopping the Thar near the Luharli toll plaza and taking Harsh into custody, jagran.com reported. The vehicle has been seized, and further investigation is underway.

Kuldeep Sharma was injured in the collision and is undergoing treatment. Police have described the case as a serious charge of attempted diesel theft, reckless driving, causing death or injury, and causing fire and injuries. Police have initiated legal action against Harsh.

A few days back, a 65-year-old who was on vacation in Goa died in a road collision with a rented Thar. The incident occurred in North Goa’s Assagao, when a speeding Thar collided with the rear end of a family’s hatchback near Happy Bar Junction. The victim was identified as Bhagatram Sharma from Bhopal, who was on a vacation with family members and travelling in an i20 car.
