The body of Regional Transport Authority (RTA) officer Ravinder Singh Gill was recovered from the bathroom of his residence in Jalandhar under suspicious circumstances. The incident took place at his flat in Jalandhar Heights. His gunman discovered the body in the bathroom and immediately informed the police.
Initial Investigation Points To Heart Attack
According to the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the officer died of a heart attack. Upon receiving the information, Surjit Singh, the In-charge of the Jalandhar Heights police post, arrived at the scene with a police team. They took possession of the body and sent it to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The police have launched a detailed investigation, and the exact cause of death will only be confirmed once the post-mortem report is released.

Ravinder Singh Gill was an officer stationed at the RTA headquarters in Chandigarh and had recently been given the additional charge of the Jalandhar RTA. The news of his sudden demise has sent a wave of grief through his family, friends, and colleagues.
Gunman Checked When Officer Did Not Exit Room
The deceased’s gunman reported that when Ravinder Gill did not come out of his room for a long time, he went to check on him. Upon opening the bathroom door, he discovered the body and alerted the authorities. The police have secured the scene and initiated an inquiry. Currently, police officials suggest that the death may have been caused by a heart attack, but the situation will only be clarified after the final medical report is received.
