UP Man Beheads Ice Cream Seller In Barabanki, Arrested While Trying To Burn Severed Head

UP Crime News: In a tragic incident, a 21-year-old ice cream vendor in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki was allegedly beheaded following an argument. The officials stated that the incident occurred in the Tikaitnagar police station area, adding that the accused carried the severed head to his house in the daylight after beheading the victim. The police recovered the head at the accused's house while he was reportedly trying to burn it. The officials asserted that the accused has been arrested and a detailed probe has also been launched into the matter.

Bablu, the 21-year-old victim, was a resident of Para Behata village and got involved in the heated argument with the accused, leading to the tragedy. Bablu was the eldest of three brothers and is survived by his wife and two children, reported the news agency IANS. The officials stated that the victim got involved in the argument with Shankar, the accused, while selling the ice cream.

"The police team was stunned by the scene. The accused was taken into custody, and the severed head and weapon were recovered from his possession," an officer was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times. As per the eyewitnesses, Shankar attacked the victim with a sharp object following the argument, leading to his death.

The officials stated that instead of fleeing the scene, the accused surprisingly picked up Bablu's severed head and walked to his house. The police, upon receiving the information, arrived at Shankar's home and found that he was cooking while keeping the severed head of the victim beside.

The officials arrested him and also recovered the severed head and the sharp object from his possession. While providing details, SP Vijayvargiya stated that the incident might have occurred due to a personal dispute; however, he assured that a detailed investigation has been launched for exact details.
