Jagran Correspondent, Lucknow: The monsoon has weakened in most parts of Uttar Pradesh over the past four to five days. Cloudy skies prevailed in the state over the weekend, with light to moderate rain at many locations.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), starting Wednesday, rain will cease in more than 50 districts in the eastern and western regions, including Lucknow. Dry weather in these districts can cause humidity.

Heavy Rain Alert In THESE Districts Today

According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, heavy rain alerts are in place for Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Pilibhit, and surrounding districts on Tuesday, while moderate to heavy rain is also forecast for Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Hardoi, Barabanki, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, and surrounding districts. However, starting Wednesday, the rain will be confined to six districts.

Weather To Remain Dry In Lucknow

The weather in Lucknow will remain dry, and the maximum temperature may rise by three to four degrees Celsius. Due to the rain, the daytime temperature in Lucknow was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius. Despite the decrease in rainfall, maximum temperatures remained below normal in most districts.

Record Rainfall In Bareilly

According to the Meteorological Department, Bareilly received a record 381.1 mm of rain in the last 24 hours on Monday, the highest of the season. Shahjahanpur also recorded 227 mm of rain, Bahraich 175 mm, Lakhimpur 156 mm, Etah 135 mm, Kannauj 110 mm, Siddharthnagar 102 mm and Moradabad 90.5 mm. Shahjahanpur also received the highest rainfall of the season.

Above Normal Rainfall From September 1 To 7

According to the Meteorological Department, from September 1 to 7, eastern Uttar Pradesh received 6 percent less rainfall than normal, while western Uttar Pradesh received 10 percent more rainfall than normal. The state as a whole received 1 per cent more rainfall during this period.
