Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several northern, central, and northeastern states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the coming days. With the advancement of monsoon, the weather is expected to change significantly in multiple states, including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. Along with rain, these regions are also likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.

Delhi-NCR Weather Update

The residents of Delhi and nearby cities, including Noida and Ghaziabad, witnessed heavy rain and dust storms in the early hours of Thursday. The weather department has assured that the capital city is set to receive more rain at least until July 7. The latest change will provide much-needed relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius.

Heavy Rain Continues In Mumbai

Mumbai continued to receive heavy rain and gusty winds on Thursday, leading to severe waterlogging in the key regions. The continuous rainfall is further likely to cause damage to infrastructure and affect the local train services. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 22 degrees Celsius.

Hilly States To Receive More Rain

Earlier on Wednesday, several key routes of Himachal Pradesh got blocked due to the continuous rainfall, leaving the tourists stranded. Apart from this, two cloudbursts on Wednesday triggered flash floods and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. The tourists have been advised to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

Rain Likely In UP, Bihar

The weather department has stated that several regions of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are set to receive light to heavy rainfall in the coming days. The fresh rain is expected to provide relief from the scorching heat in these regions.
