Jagran Correspondent, Noida: The Yamuna Expressway area near Greater Noida is rapidly transforming into an industrial and residential hub. To further strengthen this momentum, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to develop ten new sectors.
This expansion aims to attract major international ventures, with dedicated land allocations already being planned for projects from Japan and Singapore.
Additionally, the authority is taking concrete steps toward affordable housing complexes for low-income and working-class families.
YEIDA Initiates Land Bank For 10 New Sectors; Rs 28,000 Crore Approved For Land Acquisition
According to a report by Jagran.com, the YEIDA has initiated the process of building a land bank to develop 10 additional sectors within Yamuna City. The land in these sectors will be earmarked for ambitious projects, including the marquee Japanese Industrial Township and Singapore City projects.
According to YEIDA CEO RK Singh, developing areas surrounding the airport remain a top priority. The government has already approved Rs 2,800 crore for land acquisition.
YEIDS Issues RFP For Service Master Plan Across 46 New Sectors
The YEIDA has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to prepare a service master plan for water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems in 46 additional sectors. The authority has invited applications.
This plan will strengthen the infrastructure of the area to meet the demands of its rapidly growing population over the coming decades, the report added.

Affordable Flats For EWS And Labour Families
Along with the development of the city, the authority has announced plans to construct multi-story affordable housing for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and labour families in Greater Noida. 18,000 square meters of land have been earmarked near Bironda village, the report added.
The project will feature 12-storey affordable housing complexes offering 30-square-meter flats, along with modern amenities like an elevator and a shop. A similar land parcel has been earmarked in Patwari village of Greater Noida West.
Greater Noida CEO Ravi Kumar NG stated that efforts are underway to provide affordable housing to the workers. He further noted that guidelines have been issued to the project and planning departments, and a detailed project report (DPR) will be finalised immediately after the completion of the land selection process.
These initiatives are crucial to transform Yamuna City into a self-reliant, inclusive and structured urban centre. The entry of international projects will generate new employment opportunities, while the affordable housing projects will provide relief to local workers and low-income families.
