The Yogi Adityanath government continues to take concrete steps to position Uttar Pradesh as a leading textile and apparel export hub in the country. A major initiative in this direction is the Apparel Park being developed in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area, which is emerging as a significant milestone in the state’s industrial growth.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is developing the Apparel Park over 175 acres, with plans for 173 industrial plots of varying sizes dedicated to apparel and textile units. Of these, 156 plots have already been allotted, while only 17 plots remain vacant. Lease deeds have been executed for 106 units, and possession has been handed over to 89 investors, reflecting growing investor confidence in the state’s business-friendly policies.

According to officials, checklists have been issued to 118 units, building plans have been approved for 39 units, and construction has commenced in 15 units so far. The government has directed all allottees to submit action plans in line with their detailed project reports (DPRs) to ensure the timely execution of projects.

Once operational, the Apparel Park is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, significantly boost readymade garment and textile exports, and provide a strong platform for MSMEs and startups. The remaining 17 plots, spread across 33.5 acres, are still available for allotment, while land acquisition is underway due to partial land unavailability in the area.
