Mumbai Water Supply Cut On Feb 12-13: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 30-hour water supply disruption in several parts of Mumbai, set to take place from 2:00 AM on February 12 until 8:00 AM on February 13, due to vital maintenance and repair work on its water supply system.
As part of these works, the BMC will carry out improvements to the water supply infrastructure in the M East and M West wards. During this period, water supply will be completely halted in parts of Govandi, Chembur, Mankhurd, and Shivaji Nagar.

The BMC will be installing a 1200 mm diameter sluice valve on the inlet water main at the Turbhe Low-Level Reservoir, as well as connecting a 1200 mm inlet pipeline to the AMT-II tunnel shaft. These works are aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of water distribution in both wards.
M East Ward includes areas such as HPCL Refinery and Colony, RCF Colony, BARC, BPCL Colony, Tata Colony, Anik Village, Sahyadri Nagar, Mhada Colonies, Om Ganesh Nagar, Rahul Nagar, Ashok Nagar, and surrounding residential and industrial areas.

M West Ward covers areas such as BPT, BPCL, Tata, Mahul Village, Chembur Camp, Sindhi Society, Vashi Naka, Jijamata Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Mhada buildings, RC Marg, and nearby localities.
The BMC has advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water in advance, use it carefully during the shutdown, and to boil and filter drinking water for three days after supply is restored, as a precaution.
