A delegation from the All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association met with Education Secretary Umashankar Singh on Thursday, informing him that a large number of eighth-grade students have not had their forms filled for the board examination. The association demanded that instructions be given to open the Jharkhand Academic Council's examination portal for two days. It was stated that the period designated by the council for filling the forms had very few working days, which resulted in a large number of children being unable to have their forms filled. The secretary assured the association of a resolution after speaking with the JAC chairman on this matter.
TET Requirement For Pre-RTE Teachers: Association's Stand
The association also presented detailed facts to the secretary against the Supreme Court's order concerning the requirement for teachers, appointed before the implementation of the Right to Education Act, to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test. They also demanded that an opinion, in line with these facts, be sent to the Government of India. It is worth noting that the Government of India has requested information on teachers affected by the mandatory implementation of the TET. The secretary agreed with the association's facts and assured them of positive action.

Salary Payment For Newly Appointed Assistant Teachers
In light of the delay in verifying the certificates of newly appointed assistant teachers, the association demanded that an order be issued for the immediate payment of their salaries upon submission of an affidavit. The secretary issued instructions to the Director of Primary Education in this regard.
