Jharkhand To Launch Health Insurance Scheme For Pensioners, Employees From Nov 15; Online Applications Open

On Jharkhand Foundation Day, the state government announced a health insurance scheme for pensioners and employees of boards, corporations, and universities. Launching on November 15, the scheme will provide better healthcare facilities and financial relief from medical expenses, representing a significant benefit for retired employees.

Jharkhand To Launch Health Insurance Scheme For Pensioners, Employees From Nov 15; Online Applications Open

The Jharkhand government will roll out a new health insurance scheme for pensioners, their dependents, and employees and retired staff of state government boards, corporations, and universities from November 15, marking Jharkhand Foundation Day.

The Jharkhand State Arogya Society has activated an online portal for applications, which will remain open until 15 November. Eligible beneficiaries applying within this window will receive coverage from November 15, 2025 to February 28, 2026.

As per the official notification, applicants must complete online registration, ensure verification by their Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO), and pay a one-time premium of Rs 1,750 through the portal’s payment gateway. 

Health insurance cards can be downloaded starting November 22. A dedicated toll-free helpline, 1800-345-5027, has been established for assistance.

The government has also reminded pensioners and dependents who missed previous enrollment opportunities to apply within the current deadline to avail the scheme benefits.
