India will look to continue its medal hunt in badminton at Asian Games 2026. Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen will be among the biggest names in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

The badminton competition at Aichi-Nagoya 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 20 to September 29 at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium.

The tournament will start with the men's and women's team events before moving into the individual competitions. The competitions will mainly cover singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

PV Sindhu Leads Women’s Challenge

PV Sindhu will be one of India's biggest medal hopes in the women's singles competition. The two-time Olympic medallist has already won an Asian Games singles silver, finishing runner-up at Jakarta 2018.

Sindhu will also be part of India's women's team campaign before turning her attention to the individual event. The team competition begins on September 20, while the individual events start on September 25.

The Asian Games 2026 badminton schedule will see the team events conclude with the gold-medal matches on September 24. Individual competitions will begin from September 25. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lead the men’s doubles contingent.

Lakshya Sen Headlines Men’s Singles

Lakshya Sen will spearhead India's men's singles challenge. The Indian shuttler has already established himself as one of the country's leading international players and will be aiming to make an impact at the continental level.

Sen will be joined by a strong Indian badminton contingent across the different events, with the team competition providing the first opportunity to collect a medal before the individual events begin.
