Napoli and Arsenal have announced their starting lineups for their Champions League clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, with both sides making notable selections for the European opener.

Arsenal have handed Viktor Gyökeres his first start of the season, while Bukayo Saka leads the attack alongside Eberechi Eze and captain Martin Ødegaard.

Bruno Guimarães and Kai Havertz have been named among the substitutes.

Saka Leads Arsenal Attack

Mikel Arteta has made four changes from Arsenal’s Premier League victory over Chelsea. Gyökeres comes into the starting XI as the central striker, with Eze also brought into the side.

David Raya starts in goal, while Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel Magalhães and Piero Hincapié form the defensive line.

Mikel Merino and Declan Rice anchor the midfield, with Ødegaard operating behind the front three.

De Bruyne And Højlund Start For Napoli

Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri has also named a strong starting XI, with former Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne starting in midfield.

Billy Gilmour and Stanislav Lobotka join De Bruyne in the middle, while Matteo Politano, Rasmus Højlund and Alisson Santos form the attacking trio.

Alex Meret starts between the posts, protected by Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Amir Rrahmani, Rafa Marín and Mathías Olivera.

Napoli continue to deal with midfield absences, with Scott McTominay unavailable after undergoing a procedure for an irregular heartbeat. André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is also out with an injury.

The match promises an intriguing battle, with Arsenal arriving in strong form while Napoli look to make a statement on their Champions League return.

Both teams will look to make a winning start to their campaigns with all eyes on Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

They slipped a great chance last time after a disappointing defeat in the final against PSG. They will look to pass Napoli's test and grab three points. On the other hand, De Bruyne will look to shine against his familiar opponent, although in different colors this time.
