Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 Launched: Beats unveiled the new Powerbeats Pro 2 on Tuesday globally and also for the Indian market. These earbuds are more focused on a more sports-centric crowd and are designed to go along with your workout routines. They come with secure-fit ear hooks for increased stability, noise cancellation and a transparency mode. One interesting feature is the heart rate monitor that it sports and is the first Beats earpiece to do that. And yes they can withstand your regular workout against sweat and water exposure. Additionally, they come with on-device controls which can be used to control volume and playback.
As Beats is owned by Apple, it comes equipped with Apple's H2 chip, the same chip that powers the AirPods Pro 2 and this ensures seamless integration with Apple products throughout.
Specs And Features
The feature that sets it apart is its heart rate monitoring for workouts, which enables you to monitor your heart rate with accuracy while you are working out. This is made possible through LED optical sensors that can scan over 100 times per second to measure the blood flow. You can always turn this feature off if you like.
Next is its hook design, and as we all have experienced while working out earbuds usually aren't that stable and start to drop out, and this is where the Powerbeats Pro 2 has improvised. Made from lightweight nickel-titanium, it offers shape memory and flexibility for durability. This time the earpiece is 20% lighter as well compared to the previous generations.
The buds also feature active noise cancellation (ANC) like the AirPods Pro 2, and the users can switch between Transparency Mode, Noise Cancellation Mode and other settings.
These earbuds also offer personalized spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, elevating your listening experience.
Another standout feature is their IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. Plus, they support wireless charging, and the charging case is 33% smaller than the previous version, making it much more portable.
Beats also mentions that the earbuds come with the same three-microphone system as the AirPods Pro but with enhanced accuracy.
Now let's get to the main thing its battery life, the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 offers a total battery backup of 45 hours, with each earbud going up to 10 hours of playback time individually and with a rapid 5-minute charge you can get up to 1.5 hours of playback time. It comes with a USB-C-type charging port.

You can get the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 in four colours namely: Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple and Electric Orange. The Powerbeats Pro 2 is currently priced at Rs 29,900 and will be available for purchase from Apple's India website. It will be available from February 13, but you can still pre-order them.
