With over 48,000 companies trusting them, the platform helps teams execute agreements faster, lower their risks, and get better business outcomes through AI-powered insights. Ultimately, it's about helping businesses save time and money while boosting their overall productivity.
In an exclusive conversation with Konark Tyagi, Editor of Jagran Hi-Tech, Sunil Patro, Founder and CEO of SignEasy, laid out how SignEasy leverages technology to enable its business and how it has helped them in scaling it further.
Kicking off the conversation Konark Tyagi, Editor of Jagran Hi-Tech, asked how tech has enabled SignEasy, to which Sunil Patro replied, 'We started as a mobile application on Apple's ecosystem, which served as a launchpad.' 'I started the company because of a personal pain point where I could not travel and sign an important offer letter while on the go. I felt there was a better, simpler, and faster way, and building an iPhone app was rooted in that." Adding to this, he said, "Over the years, we have grown with the technologies we work on, including Apple’s devices and app ecosystem, using that as a springboard. We now have customers ranging from fast-growing startups and tech companies to large companies in diversified industries. We cater to the needs of every department function that deals with contracts, whether signing, approving, reviewing, or collaborating."
Mr Sunil Patro further explained how the platform is designed to work seamlessly across a wide range of devices and is device agnostic; whether it is iOS, Android, or desktop browsers, the platform is easily accessible for users regardless of what device they are using. Apart from this, the platform also offers an API that allows businesses to integrate and customise e-signature and workflow features directly into their own apps and websites. This level of flexibility means that companies can build indigenously tailored experiences for their users rather than relying on standalone tools only. Overall, this adaptability and cross-platform approach has played a key role in helping the platform scale and grow over time.
Moving further with the conversation, Konark Tyagi asked how Apple's ecosystem plays a critical role in the company's setup, beginning with an iPhone-based launch and gradually expanding across the entire ecosystem and what sort of devices they use now after starting with the iPhone, to which Sunil Patro said, "From a customer-centric viewpoint, the company is device-agnostic, supporting all mobile platforms, desktop browsers, and operating systems. " However, the internal technology used to build these services is predominantly Mac-centric; almost the entire organisation, from product and engineering to marketing and sales, uses Macs."
He added further, "Because a significant part of our business runs on the iOS ecosystem, our customers use us predominantly on iPhones, iPads, and other tablets. Our own employees also have access to those devices at work because we want them to understand how users on iOS platforms behave. We want them to understand the standards for delight, trust, security, and privacy when we are building our solutions. You can only get that if you have a first-hand experience of using that ecosystem on your own. That way, what powers all of our applications and the entire development process to our go-to-market is all happening predominantly on Apple devices."
Moving on, the next question from Konark Tyagi circled around whether using Apple's ecosystem for app development, backend development, and website tracking makes security and safety a more significant priority compared to other alternatives. Elaborating on this, Mr Patro said, "When we started the company, we knew that trust has to be a foundation for a product, specifically because our customers are handling the most sensitive documents, whether it's sales contracts, NDAs, job offers, or all sorts of legal, commercial, and partnership documents. We knew that if we build a solution on a platform, our customers have to see us as a secure and trusted solution, even as an upcoming company."
Further in the conversation, Mr Sunil Patro explained that Apple has always felt like a natural fit for them, given how it works in terms of files, photos, and messages. This philosophy has always aligned well with how the product and company were built. For developers, source code and product designs are a big part of their IP. Apple devices give peace of mind to IT and ops teams. If a device is lost or stolen, it can be wiped, giving peace of mind for their IP, which is very important for both them and their customers.
Taking privacy into focus, Sunil Patro explained how trust and privacy are ensured and said, "When we think about trust, privacy, and security, we use our philosophy to build all our applications, including our web applications. We take it a step further with two-factor authentication, single sign-on for enterprises, and certifications like SOC 2 and HIPAA. We consider security at all touch points. Apple is the start of a journey that we carry forward into everything we do, from building to servicing our customers. That's how we have built trust."
Going ahead, it was also discussed how the company leverages Apple's foundation models to build features for its mobile application, such as functionality for reviewing contracts. The platform instantly summarises documents and displays all key terms and clauses, allowing the user to take a quick glance before signing. While they are constantly building new functionality, it remains consistently rooted in the essential element of trust.
Moving on, the topic of discussion centred on how the company managed to receive the Editor's Choice award on the Apple App Store and when they achieved it. The company received this award in the first half of 2025 and has since received recognition in other categories such as Best Apps for Business Owners, Apps for Apple Intelligence, Top Business Apps for Productivity and Document Management.

Lastly, the release of Apple’s latest budget laptop entry, the MacBook Neo, was discussed regarding how its deployment across the workforce could further enable services. As the company builds AI LLMs and LLMs for coding, their devices require greater reliability, speed, and performance. The entire engineering team has transitioned into agentic SDLC practices, necessitating the latest devices to handle the local processing load. A machine built for AI from the ground up, like the MacBook Neo, is considered a natural fit and solution for a company focusing on agentic AI as a core competency.
