iQOO 15 Ultra Launch: It looks like iQOO is all set to make its mark early on this year with its flagship offering. iQOO is working on an 'Ultra' variant for the very first time; the supposed device is expected to be dubbed the iQOO 15 Ultra, and it has already started to appear on several certification listings before the actual launch takes place.

The device was spotted on China's 3C platform, and there it was confirmed that the device will come with 100W fast charging support. All these things point to the fact that its release is not far away in the future, and if we go by past conventions, then the new device can be expected somewhere in mid-February.

Apart from the news that it has been spotted on certification websites, tipster Digital Chat Station has also shared a few details that give us a much clearer picture about the iQOO 15 Ultra. According to the leak shared on Weibo, the phone is expected to feature a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 display with 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Notably, iQOO may opt for a flat panel instead of a curved one, a move that should appeal to gamers who value precise touch response and fewer accidental inputs during extended sessions. Flat displays have been steadily returning to gaming-focused phones, and iQOO appears to be aligning with that shift.

Performance and Gaming Focus

On the performance front, the iQOO 15 Ultra is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with iQOO’s in-house Q3 gaming chip. This dual-chip setup has already been seen on the iQOO 15, where the secondary chip plays a key role in stabilising frame rates and improving power efficiency. Bringing the same approach to the Ultra variant points to a stronger focus on sustained, long-duration performance rather than short benchmark bursts.

Camera Setup Details

Camera-wise, the leak mentions a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. While this doesn’t position the iQOO 15 Ultra as a camera-centric flagship like some rival Ultra models, it does suggest a more balanced approach, aimed at serving both gaming needs and everyday photography without overcommitting to one side.

Battery and Charging Expectations

The iQOO 15 Ultra is also said to pack a massive 7,000 mAh battery, or possibly even larger, along with 100 W wired and wireless charging support. While such charging speeds are becoming standard in the flagship segment, competition around battery capacity is intensifying. Brands like OnePlus have recently pushed boundaries with devices such as the OnePlus Turbo 6 series in China, which goes as high as 9,000 mAh. iQOO, in contrast, seems to be prioritising overall balance rather than chasing headline-grabbing numbers alone.

What iQOO is betting on this time that will set this device apart from other flagship devices in the same segment is its extra hardware features. The device is rumoured to come with a built-in cooling fan, something similar to what you would find on dedicated gaming handhelds, and what's more is that the device is also expected to feature side triggers for seamless aiming and shooting. These are some new additions but also point to the fact that the phone is much more gamer-centric.

iQOO 15 'Ultra' definitely aims for a crowd that wants an unhinged and uncompromised gaming experience without getting those bulky setups. As far as battery goes, some devices might still be ahead of it, but it still is a solid battery considering what some other flagship smartphones offer. Now all eyes are on iQOO15 'Ultra' and how the people will respond to this mixed bag of goodies.
