BGMI 4.2 Update Release :Good news for BGMI fans, as the long-awaited update, the BGMI 4.2 update, has finally and officially landed and went live on January 15, 2026, in India. What does it bring? Well, with this fresh update, players get the new fresh-themed experience, new abilities and vehicles, and the magnum opus of the event is their special collaboration with Royal Enfield. The update is being rolled out in phases on iOS, Android and APK platforms. The only ask? Keep enough storage and a stable internet connection for a seamless download experience. The latest BGMI 4.2 update is available separately for iOS and Android devices. Players can get the access from official download links provided on respective platforms.

BGMI 4.2 India Release Timeline
The rollout is supposed to take place in a staggered manner; for India, the players can start accessing the update from 11:30 IST.
Android users can access it between 6:30 am and 12:30 pm IST. For iOS the timeline is a bit different, and these players will be able to access it between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm IST.
What's the Primewood Genesis Mode?
The developers have dropped a new theme for BGMI fans, so let's take a look at what it is. The Primewood Genesis Theme will add a touch of fantasy to the battle royale format we all love so much. This mode will feature a Tree of Life and Corrupting Flower. The Corrupting Flower will give off toxic poison that will eliminate any player in an instant if they come in contact with it; this introduces a high-risk element which will add spice to the routine combat and movement.
BGMI 4.2 Royal Enfield Collaboration?
This time the most interesting thing is the Royal Enfield collaboration that the developers have worked their way into. Starting January 19, players will be able to enjoy the fun of riding around in Royal Enfield 350 and Continental GT 650 bikes in the game itself.
As a part of the collaboration, Royal Enfield-themed rewards will be available through a SPIN format from January 19 to January 22. This will come with collectibles like the Revel 01 set, the Bullet Line P90 gun skin and a lot more.
BGMI 4.2: New items, abilities and vehicles
The developers have this time amped up their game, and several new items and abilities have been designed to change how the overall gameplay feels. One major item is the Golden Fruit, which gives the players a buff of a bulletproof jacket. New vehicles will now cruise in the battleground, like the Thorn Scorpion and more.

The BGMI 4.2 update is now available through the Google Play Store. Players are strongly advised to avoid third-party APK links on launch day, as they can be unsafe, damage your device, or turn out to be scams.

* Go to Updates available.
