SantaGPT AI Chat: While we are a few weeks away from Christmas Day 2023, it looks like the AI research company OpenAI is ready to enjoy the celebrations and share happiness with ChatGPT users. The AI firm has announced a new SantaGPT chat model backed by GPT-4. Available for Plus members, it can share gifting ideas and more surprises.
According to the description, SantaGPT is from the North Pole and is here to spread cheers and help you with festive gift ideas. Paying accounts are advised to "check back with him daily for a surprise up to [Santa Claus emoji]s visit," the company wrote on X, formerly called Twitter. SantaGPT requires access to ChatGPT Plus for use.

The model greets users with: "I'm Santa! Spreading cheer and helping with festive gift ideas," according to The Indian Express. Users can explore gifting ideas with the tool and share them with family and peers. This can help you decide on one gifting choice if you are confused between multiple options.
ChatGPT Plus accounts can use the model from the web or the smartphone app on Android or iOS. You can download the official ChatGPT application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The company has halted access to the subscription. Hence, registered subscribers can chat with SantaGPT.
For eligible accounts, it can help you personalise wishes, share Christmas stories, inquire about the Reindeer and more. The model is a custom version of the viral chatbot ChatGPT. Speaking of updates around custom GPTs, the company reportedly postponed the launch of the GPT store where users can share custom versions of the language model and can earn money based on its popularity.
The new model comes amid the high-scale drama around the firing and hiring of the OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Soon after these affairs, the company reportedly shifted focus towards the development of an Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) model to improve ChatGPT further, which is a stiff competitor for AI models like Google's Bard and xAI's Grok.
