Vivo V70 Launch: Vivo is gearing up to refresh its V-series lineup, and early reports suggest the upcoming V70 range could include three models: the Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite, and Vivo V70 FE. While the FE version is tipped to arrive slightly later, the standard and Elite models are expected to launch first.

What’s expected to stand out on the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite

Camera upgrades appear to be a major focus this time. Reports claim Vivo may switch to newer Sony image sensors for both the V70 and V70 Elite, paired with Zeiss lenses. This combination is expected to improve light sensitivity and overall image clarity. The company is also said to be working on enhanced image processing, with AI-based algorithms designed to handle tricky lighting scenarios more effectively.

Camera setup details remain unclear for now

Vivo has not revealed the exact camera hardware for the V70 series yet. For reference, last year’s Vivo V60 featured a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 3x telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor. Whether Vivo plans to stick to a similar setup or introduce more changes remains to be seen.

Vivo V70 series performance and software

On the performance side, the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm chipset. The Vivo V60 used the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, and reports suggest Vivo could upgrade the silicon this year. Some leaks also indicate that the standard Vivo V70 might be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50 launched in China. If that turns out to be true, the phone could feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, and up to 16GB of RAM. Both the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are expected to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Vivo V70 series launch timeline and pricing

The Vivo V70 series is tipped to launch in India sometime in February. The V70 FE is expected to follow in the second half of the year. Pricing details are still under wraps, but the Vivo V60 debuted in India at ₹36,999, and there’s a chance Vivo could push prices slightly higher with this new generation.
