Google Ai Video Generator Veo 3.1: Google has silently dropped its Veo 3.1, which is touted to be an upgrade to its generative AI video model, and this new upgrade will provide users with much better AI-generated content. The tech giant has said that this new upgrade will come with all-new mobile-optimised features and a suite that supports professional-grade video making.

The biggest upgrade that Google has pushed this time is its enhanced 'Ingredients To Video' section, a technology by Google that lets users generate motion-related clips based on specific image references.

Veo 3.1 Focus Has Shifted

According to Google, one of the most stubborn problems in AI video generation has been keeping characters and backgrounds consistent across clips. With Veo 3.1, the company says that issue is finally being addressed.

Google claims the new model delivers “state-of-the-art” identity consistency, allowing creators to keep a character’s appearance the same even as camera angles or settings change, while also improving background and object consistency.

Google's Mobile-First Approach

This time it seems like Google has been listening to mobile users, and for the first time it is introducing a native vertical (9:16) output layout, which will enable users to generate full-screen content which will be compatible with reels on platforms like YouTube Shorts etc., without the fear of losing its quality that users usually experience when videos have to be cropped.

Another big upgrade is 1080p resolution for standard editing, and for users who would like to go beyond simplicity, 4K resolution with richer textures and clarity is also available.

These new upgrades have been integrated across Google's complete creative suite. For casual users trying to have some fun, Veo 3.1 will be available within the Gemini app and YouTube Shorts.
