As per the recent reports, WhatsApp is working on a long-awaited feature that could possibly make the messaging more convenient for the users. The report suggests that WhatsApp might soon allow messages to be sent automatically by scheduling them in advance. It will work for groups as well as individual chats, making it more useful for reminders and announcements that are time-sensitive conversations. However, a point to note here is that this feature is still in the development phase in early stages. Early details suggest it could significantly change how users manage their chats.
Message Scheduling Spotted in WhatsApp iOS Beta
According to a report from WABetaInfo, the message-scheduling feature was spotted in WhatsApp for iOS beta version 26.7.10.72 and the feature is currently hidden and under development, which means it is not accessible even to beta testers at this stage.
How WhatsApp Scheduled Messages May Work
The feature can be called “Scheduled Messages" and will allow users to save and schedule a message to send on a specific date and time to be sent automatically. When the message is scheduled, these messages would appear in a dedicated “Scheduled messages” section within the chat info screen. From there, users would be able to review or delete scheduled messages before they are delivered.
Although the available screenshot showcases the feature in a group chat, there is no indication that WhatsApp will restrict message scheduling to groups only. It is expected to support individual chats as well.

Availability and Release Timeline
As mentioned above, the feature is still in development, and WhatsApp has not confirmed the public release yet. As this is in the experimental phase, we can’t confirm its widespread availability; several times plans change before it's released or cancelled in the development phase.
