X, formerly known as Twitter which has been working on a slew of features, has added a new feature. In a new update, the micro-blogging platform has officially introduced the Community Notes for its videos. The contributors will now be allowed to leave notes on the videos which are potentially misleading.

According to the company, in order to become a contributor, the user must first sign in, after which they will be able to post flags and notes, which will be displayed on the post if a significant number of contributors rated the note as helpful.

How Will It Work:

According to the image shared by the platform, if a contributor goes to make a remark on a video connected to a post, they will be questioned if the note is about the context of the content or not. Users can make their notes show on other posts with the same video by simply selecting the second option. The company has already introduced the same feature for the images in May.

What Are Community Notes?

For those who do not know, the microblogging platform now allows contributors to leave notes on posts that are misleading. However, the feature has not been accurate or helpful for the users all the time. There have been many instances where the platform has not taken any actions on the misleading posts.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk's microblogging platform now allows contributors from more nations to add context to their tweets. Furthermore, the company has developed the notes function in other languages, including Dutch, French, German, and Italian, to highlight notable contributions on certain posts.
