Hyderabad News: A man was killed in a violent attack on a busy road in Hyderabad on Sunday night, police said. The incident took place in full public view, even as several bystanders watched and recorded the assault on their mobile phones.

The murder occurred on Shamsheer Ganj Road, under the jurisdiction of Chatrinaka Police Station, an area known for heavy traffic and closely packed residential buildings. The victim was identified as Satish, a native of Karnataka, officials said.

According to the police, Satish was attacked by unidentified assailants armed with sharp weapons. A video that surfaced later shows one of the attackers repeatedly stabbing him before fleeing the spot. The attack happened amid moving traffic, leaving the victim lying on the road in a pool of blood.

The sudden violence triggered panic among commuters, shopkeepers and pedestrians in the area. Despite the presence of several people, no one intervened or attempted to stop the attacker, police said.

After receiving information, police teams rushed to the spot along with emergency services. Satish, who had sustained critical injuries, was shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where he died during treatment.

According to a NDTV report, Forensic experts later examined the crime scene and collected evidence. Police also recovered a knife believed to have been used in the murder. CCTV footage from nearby shops and roads is being reviewed to track the movements of the attackers before and after the incident.

Speaking to the media, Javed said the victim was married and had a child. He added that special teams have been formed to identify and arrest those involved.

“All possible angles are being checked. We are analysing CCTV footage and questioning people who may have witnessed the incident,” he said.

The body was later moved to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police said the motive behind the killing is still unclear and could involve personal enmity or other reasons. Investigators are also looking into the victim’s background and recent movements.

A case has been registered at Chatrinaka Police Station and further investigation is underway. Police have urged the public to share any information related to the case, assuring confidentiality.
