A high alert has been declared across the district today on Saturday in connection with the anniversary of the demolition of the disputed Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1992. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Vipin Tada has implemented a comprehensive security plan to maintain law and order.
Security Grid And Surveillance
To ensure effective monitoring, the SSP has divided the entire district into 14 sectors and 32 zones.
Drone Watch: Orders have been issued for drone surveillance in sensitive areas to monitor rooftop and ground activities.
Patrolling: Continuous patrolling is to be conducted in sensitive pockets, with instructions to monitor every activity closely.
Instructions To Officials
The SSP has directed all Circle Officers (COs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to maintain a strict vigil in their respective jurisdictions.
Dispute Resolution: Officers have been instructed to address any local disputes immediately. Senior officers must be informed instantly to ensure timely resolution and prevent escalation.
Social Media Monitoring: The police are keeping a close watch on social media platforms. Strict and immediate action will be taken against anyone found spreading rumors or inciting trouble.

Specific Deployments
Identifying specific sensitive zones, the SSP has ordered the deployment of additional police forces in the following station areas:
- Lisari Gate
- Lohianagar
- TP Nagar
