Gorakhpur Railways Adds Six Puja Special Trains To Sabarmati, Sri Ganganagar, Bengaluru And Muzaffarpur

Special 'Puja' trains are set to operate from Gorakhpur to Sabarmati and Sri Ganganagar for the Diwali and Chhath festivals. This initiative aims to ease travel for passengers heading home for the holidays, reducing overcrowding on services and providing significant relief.

Gorakhpur Railways Adds Six Puja Special Trains To Sabarmati, Sri Ganganagar, Bengaluru And Muzaffarpur

Ahead of the Diwali and Chhath festivals, the railway administration has announced several additional Puja special trains for passengers from Purvanchal and Bihar. Special services will run from Gorakhpur to Sabarmati, Sri Ganganagar, Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Muzaffarpur to facilitate smooth travel during the festive rush.

According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, the unreserved Gorakhpur-Sabarmati-Gorakhpur Puja special train (09429/09430) will operate six times. The train will depart from Sabarmati on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays between October 16 and 26, and from Gorakhpur on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays between October 17 and 27.

Similarly, the weekly Puja special train between Sri Ganganagar Junction and Gorakhpur (04729/04730) will run two trips: from Sri Ganganagar on October 23 and 30, and from Gorakhpur on October 24 and 31.

Train timings and routes:

-09429 (Sabarmati-Gorakhpur): Departs 8:50 am, via Ajmer, Jaipur, Idgah Agra, Kanpur Central, and Lucknow; arrives Gorakhpur at 10:00 am the next day.

-09430 (Gorakhpur-Sabarmati): Departs 1:00 pm, via Basti, Gonda, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Marwar; arrives Sabarmati at 3:30 pm the next day.

-04729 (Sri Ganganagar-Gorakhpur): Departs 1:25 pm, via Hanumangarh, Sangaria, Hisar, Rohtak, Delhi, Bareilly, Gonda, Barhni, Siddharthnagar; arrives Gorakhpur at 4:30 pm the next day.

-04730 (Gorakhpur-Sri Ganganagar): Departs 7:30 pm, via Barhni, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Delhi, Hisar, Sangaria, Hanumangarh; arrives Sri Ganganagar at 2:45 am the next day.

Other Puja special trains include:

-Banaras-Bengaluru Cantonment (05599): Single trip on October 17, departs Banaras 11:55 pm, Gorakhpur 6:45 am, reaches Bengaluru Cantonment 2:45 pm on the fourth day.

-New Delhi-Muzaffarpur (04058/04057): Four trips from New Delhi (October 18, 19, 22, 23) and from Muzaffarpur (October 19, 20, 23, 24).

-Sri Ganganagar-Samastipur (04731/04732): Weekly train running three trips from Sri Ganganagar every Sunday (October 19 to November 2) and from Samastipur every Tuesday (October 21 to November 4).
