As the festive season approaches with Dussehra, Dhanteras, and Diwali next month, the Greater Noida district administration has stepped up measures to curb the sale of adulterated food and ensure public health safety.

Teams from the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) will conduct inspections across urban and rural areas, collecting samples from shopkeepers suspected of selling adulterated food products. Strict action will be taken if any sample fails testing.

In addition to retail outlets, the campaign will cover school, college, and hostel canteens, while special inspections will be carried out at hotels and restaurants to ensure compliance with quality standards. Medical stores operating without licences will also be targeted.

On Saturday, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Manglesh Dubey chaired a meeting with food department officials, directing that the campaign be conducted seriously. Assistant Commissioner Food II Sarvesh Kumar Mishra, Chief Food Safety Officer Virendra Dwivedi, and other officials attended the meeting.
