A new regular weekly express train, the 15135 and 15136 Chhapra-Amritsar-Chhapra Express, is set to begin operations, making travel between Chhapra, Gorakhpur, and Amritsar much easier.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, the service will start from December 12. The train will depart from Chhapra every Friday and from Amritsar every Saturday.
Train Composition
The train will have a modern and comfortable coach configuration, including:
- One First AC coach
- Two Second AC coaches
- Six Third AC coaches
- Two Third AC Economy coaches
- Five Sleeper class coaches
- Four General Second class coaches

Train 15135: Chhapra to Amritsar (Every Friday)
- Departure (Chhapra): 10:15 AM
- Departure (Gorakhpur): 02:40 PM (via Thawe, Kaptanganj)
- Key Halts: Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Saharanpur, and Ambala Cantt.
- Arrival (Amritsar): 01:50 PM the next day.
Train 15136: Amritsar to Chhapra (Every Saturday)
- Departure (Amritsar): 4:45 PM
- Key Halts: Jalandhar City, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur, and Gonda.
- Departure (Gorakhpur): 06:30 PM the next day.
- Arrival (Chhapra): 11:55 PM (via Kaptanganj, Padrauna, Thawe, Siwan).
