A 21-year-old man was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles near a Shiva temple on the Lahsadi embankment on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Govind Chaudhary (21), a resident of Lahsadi village. The injured, Roshan Shukla (22) and Suraj (22) of Mahuishugharpur, have been admitted to BRD Medical College with serious injuries.

The accident occurred around 11 pm. Govind Chaudhary was returning home on his Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with an oncoming Pulsar motorcycle carrying Roshan and Suraj at a turn on the embankment. The speed of both bikes was reportedly so high that the riders lost control, leading to the collision. All three men were severely injured in the crash.

Local residents immediately informed the police. A team from the Ramgarhtal police station arrived at the scene shortly after. The injured were rushed to the district hospital via ambulance, where doctors declared Govind Chaudhary dead on arrival.

Due to the critical nature of their injuries, Roshan and Suraj were referred to BRD Medical College after receiving first aid. Ramgarhtal police have taken custody of the wrecked motorcycles.

Grief has enveloped Govind's family, who are devastated by the loss. Relatives stated that Govind supported his family through manual labor, and his death has shattered them.

According to local residents, the turn on the Lahsadi embankment is extremely dangerous and is a frequent site of accidents caused by speeding vehicles.
