Noida International Airport: CM Yogi Adityanath To Finalise Opening Date After Today's Inspection
CM Yogi may finalise the dates today.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to inspect the construction progress of the Noida International Airport today on Saturday and may decide on its inauguration date. If the Chief Minister is satisfied with the work, he may then seek an available date from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the official inauguration.

In light of the Chief Minister's visit, the airport's operator, Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), has reviewed all preparations, including the terminal building and boarding procedures.

The situation is expected to be fully clarified following this inspection. Previously, Deepak Kumar, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, had instructed that all work at the airport must be completed by October 30. This deadline had created uncertainty regarding the inauguration timeline.

Operational Readiness And Testing Underway

YIAPL has begun testing its preparations for the launch of flight services. This includes assessing the equipment installed at the airport, the training provided to staff, and the coordination between various departments.

Shailendra Bhatia, the Nodal Officer for Noida International Airport Ltd. (NIAL), stated that the trials are a process to test the smooth implementation of passenger services. This is being done to ensure that any shortcomings can be addressed before operations commence, thereby providing passengers with a comfortable travel experience.

Launch Plan And Licensing

The Noida International Airport, built on 1334 hectares, will commence operations with a single runway. Initially, services will be launched for cargo and major domestic cities, with international flights to follow at a later stage.
