Ahead of Diwali, Uttar Pradesh’s 1,29,853 para-teachers (Shiksha Mitras) are set to receive their September salaries. The State Project Office has released Rs 12,93,32,00,000 for the payments, which have been distributed to all districts to ensure timely disbursal.
State Project Director Monika Rani has directed all District Basic Education Officers to deposit the honorarium directly into the bank accounts of eligible para-teachers.

She clarified that payments will be made only to those who received salaries under the Samagra Shiksha scheme during the 2024-25 financial year; no new or ineligible para-teachers will be paid from these funds.
The districts have been instructed to use the funds transparently, submit monthly expenditure reports, and update details of remaining funds to the State Project Office.

Additionally, all information must be uploaded on the Prabandh portal. Earlier, the State Project Office had asked districts to pay the August honorarium from available funds and request any additional amount needed.
