The National Health Authority (NHA) has introduced a new portal for Ayushman Bharat scheme beneficiaries, citing security concerns. This upgraded system replaces the previous Transaction Management System (TMS 1.0) with TMS 2.0, making it mandatory for Ayushman cardholders to seek hospital treatment only through the new platform.

Previously, beneficiaries were admitted and treated using the old portal, but with the transition to TMS 2.0, the old system is no longer functional. Over the past few days, many Ayushman cardholders faced difficulties accessing treatment due to the portal upgrade.

If any Ayushman cardholder encounters issues, they can visit the Ayushman office at the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) premises to seek assistance and resolve their concerns.

So far, 12,04,324 Ayushman cards have been issued in Varanasi district, with the city leading in the issuance of cards to senior citizens. A total of 48,142 cards have been issued to individuals above 70 years of age, the highest in the region.

Dr Sandeep Chaudhary, Chief Medical Officer, Varanasi, confirmed that all Ayushman card treatments will now be processed exclusively through the new portal.
