Citizens in Uttar Pradesh will soon be able to view maps of their agricultural land and homes directly on their mobile phones, as the Revenue Board prepares to launch a dedicated mobile application. The app, which is currently in the testing phase, is expected to be rolled out next month. The Board has sought time from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for its official launch.
The initiative is part of the Revenue Board’s ongoing efforts to make services more accessible and reduce the need for citizens to visit revenue offices. Along with digitising key services, the Board is also providing dashboard facilities to Lekhpals and Revenue Inspectors for issuing income, caste, and residence certificates. Applicants will now be required to apply online for these documents, ensuring timely delivery and clear accountability for revenue staff.

As part of the mapping project, satellite technology is being used to prepare accurate maps of homes and agricultural land across the state. Once completed, users will be able to view detailed images of their land, homes, villages, and localities by entering their Gata number, Khatauni, or Khasra number into the app. The area (rakba) of every plot and house will also be displayed.
With over 57,694 Gram Panchayats and more than one lakh revenue villages in Uttar Pradesh, officials believe this system will significantly reduce land-related disputes.
Revenue Board Chairman Anil Kumar stated that development of the app is nearly complete, adding that the platform will play a crucial role in resolving land conflicts by providing accurate and easily accessible records.
