Mussoorie Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi performed the Bhoomi Pujan (ground-breaking ceremony) for the Tapkeshwar-Garhi Cantt sewer line project, which will be built for Rs 53.72 crore in the Mussoorie assembly constituency. The minister said the project is expected to provide relief to residents by addressing pollution and waterlogging issues.

The ceremony was held at Dakra Bazaar, Garhi Cantt, where Joshi also honoured distinguished residents of the area. Speaking at the event, he emphasised that the Dhami government ensures the timely inauguration of all projects for which it lays the foundation stone and is committed to improving basic infrastructure in the region.

On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, the minister highlighted that 75 per cent of India’s soldiers hail from Uttarakhand. He also mentioned that the Pancham Dham Sainyadham will soon be dedicated to the public, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

The programme was attended by notable local leaders and dignitaries, including Mandal President Rajiv Gurung, Vishnu Gupta, Rajendra Kaur Sondhi, Jyoti Kotia, Pradeep Rawat, Sameer Dobhal, Bela Gupta, Devendra Pal Singh, Madhu Khatri, TD Bhutia, Manoj Chhetri, Prabha Shah, and Nirmala Bhatt.
