Uttarakhand CM Dhami To Pitch Key National Highway Projects To Centre For Improved Hill Connectivity

Chief Minister Dhami is set to meet Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss key national highway projects, such as the Rishikesh bypass and the Almora-Danya-Panar-Ghat route. The objective is to strengthen road connectivity in the state, ease traffic, and integrate mountainous regions with the mainstream, which will also boost the Char Dham Yatra, tourism, and the local economy.

The Uttarakhand government will strongly advocate at the Centre for the proposed national highway projects to strengthen road connectivity in the state.

The Uttarakhand government will strongly advocate at the Centre for the proposed national highway projects to strengthen road connectivity in the state. In this regard, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon meet with Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. 

Before this, Chief Minister Dhami discussed the preparations for this meeting with Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta. On Saturday, at the Chief Minister's residence, Chief Minister Dhami held a meeting with Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that in the proposed meeting with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, proposals related to the construction of the Rishikesh-Bypass, Almora-Danya-Panar-Ghat road, Jyolikot-Khairna-Gairsain-Karnaprayag road, and the Almora-Kanda-Udiyari Bend road, along with many other important state matters related to state highways, will be prominently presented. 

The Chief Minister said that the implementation of these national highway projects on the ground will strengthen the road network in Uttarakhand, ease traffic flow, and help connect mountainous regions with the mainstream. This will also boost the Char Dham Yatra, tourism, and the local economy.

During this, the Union Minister of State expressed his agreement on the proposed projects, stating that the central government is continuously striving for the development of road connectivity facilities in the state.
