Drunk Bengaluru Bus Driver Viral Video: What was supposed to be a quiet overnight bus ride turned into a nightmare for passengers when fear slowly began to take over inside a moving bus. The journey from Calicut to Bengaluru suddenly felt unsafe when travellers started sensing that the person driving them was drunk. Some even claimed that the helper sitting beside him was also intoxicated. At first, people were unsure of what to do. But when the driver refused to slow down or stop despite repeated requests, panic spread quickly inside the bus.
In the viral video, several passengers can be seen standing near the driver’s seat, begging him to stop near a police check post or at least let them get down safely. Their voices shake with fear and anger. Some sound helpless, others furious but the driver continues to drive, ignoring everyone.
Along with the video, a strong warning was shared in the caption: "This is exactly how the majority of accidents happen. The driver and supporting staff were clearly drunk during the journey, and you can see in the video that passengers were pleading to stop the bus because they felt unsafe. It’s shocking and unacceptable that such operators play with passengers’ lives. Strict action and frequent inspections from the Motor Vehicle Departments across states are urgently needed to prevent such reckless behaviour."

The clip was shared on Instagram by the handle 'bangalore_malayalees' on November 25 and has already been watched more than 2.7 million times. Viewers across social media were left shocked and furious after seeing how carelessly so many lives were being handled.
"I’m a passenger on this bus. The driver was completely drunk and driving really rashly. When we told him to stop, he refused and even threatened to kill us by crashing the bus. We somehow got the bus stopped at the toll gate, and he grabbed half a bottle of alcohol and ran away. Earlier, when we stopped in Gundlupet for a restroom break, he even picked a fight with the restaurant manager, who warned him not to drive like that. So please don’t spread fake news!" a user wrote.
"To those people who said, 'just smash his face, ' instead of talking, 30 people’s lives were in his hands. If he had turned the steering even a little to the left, the bus would have crashed and fallen down. There’s a way to handle people like that without getting into more trouble. In situations like this, it’s our call to either make it worse or sort it out peacefully without any consequences. Violence is not a solution to the problem; it will lead to another one.
