At the Summit, Beijing also advocated for a rules-based order where global rules are shaped by all countries. In a veiled dig at the West, Jinping asserted that the "might makes right" approach should have been discarded.

He urged the Global South nations to jointly uphold sovereign equality, international law, non-interference in countries' internal affairs and the peaceful settlement of disputes, while ensuring rules are applied equally without double standards.
