An Indian national died, and three suffered injuries after two helicopters in Nepal collided during landing at the Pheriche helipad in the Mount Everest region. The incident reportedly took place in ward 4 of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu district on Tuesday morning.

The helicopters, operated by Air Dynasty and Fishtail Air, crashed at around 8:11 am, the District Police Office stated. As per news agency PTI, the deceased was identified as Vasanta Kumar Balaramaradu (47). The injured passenger, identified as Shailesh Kishan Patel, is a 53-year-old New Zealand citizen of Indian origin. He was airlifted to Lukla aboard a Prabhu Air helicopter for initial medical treatment, police added. Details of the remaining people are yet to be ascertained

Additional details about the remaining passengers and crew members in the two helicopters are not found yet. The rotor blades of the two helicopters collided during landing, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said, adding that further details were being investigated. According to an official from the CAAN, the Air Dynasty helicopter was carrying cargo to Pheriche.

The Fishtail Air helicopter was piloted by Captain Prajwal KC, while the Air Dynasty helicopter was commanded by Captain Rabindra Prajapati, who was also injured in the accident.

Florida Plane Crashes Killing 9

Earlier on Sunday, a business jet crashed into a residential neighbourhood in South Florida, killing all nine people on board, officials said. The jet plunged into the Cresthaven area of Palm Beach County around 12:50 PM before bursting into a massive fireball. The crash occurred around nine miles (14 km) from Mar-a-Lago, US President Donald Trump's resort in Palm Beach.

A Learjet 60 carrying nine people nose-dived into a residential neighbourhood in South Florida on Sunday (local time) and burst into a massive fireball. The aircraft appeared to narrowly miss nearby homes before crashing near a busy road, leaving a large, burning crater in the pavement.
