Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: The Electronic Know Your Customer (E-KYC) for Ladki Behen Yojana (Ladki Behen Scheme) is ongoing in the state of Maharashtra. The scheme provides eligible and registered women, a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 per month. The amount is transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, thereby ensuring transparency and ease of access.

However, to receive the money, all the eligible women must first complete the authentication and verification process in order to receive the money. According to Navbharat Times, more than 10 million women are unable to complete their E-KYC system and may not enjoy the benefits of the scheme once the process is closed.

When Is The Last Day To Complete E-Kyc?

The last day to complete the E-KYC for the Ladli Behen Scheme is tomorrow, November 18.

Why Is E-KYC Important?

The Electronic Know Your Customer (E-KYC) has been made compulsory for all the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Scheme.

According to the September 18, 2025 circular, “In accordance with Section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, a notification dated 01.08.2024 has been issued regarding the scheme.”

The notification further says, "A person eligible for benefits under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme must furnish proof of Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication."

The UIDAI, which oversees Aadhaar authentication, has allowed the Women and Child Development Department to conduct Aadhaar e-KYC authentication for identifying eligible women beneficiaries under the scheme. Consequently, an e-KYC module has now been integrated into the scheme’s online portal to facilitate verification and authentication, the circular added.
