Meanwhile, a lot of Nashik two-wheeler riders are now adding aluminum rods to their motorcycles and scooters to shield their faces and necks from nylon manja, a problem that the city police have been working to eradicate for years, reported to TOI.

The rods are prevalent in regions of Gujarat. Now, stores and garages around Nashik city provide them to customers who want to avoid stitches.

Every year during the kite-flying season, Nashik sees multiple incidences of two-wheeler riders suffering serious injuries. Citizens who talked with TOI stated the rods may now be the only option.

They cost less than Rs 50, but they may save your life.
