Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: With just a few days remaining for the Maharashtra assembly election 2024, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiva Sena on Friday listed the assets of candidates who defected from it to form the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led faction, insinuating that the decision was taken by these MLAs for their own benefit.
Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP claimed that the properties of the leaders who went to form Shinde Sena have grown between 50 to 100 per cent from 2019 to 2024.
"Be it Geeta Jain, Deepak Kesarkar, Tanaji Sawant...The assets of the 40 people who went there show an increase between 50%-100% from 2019 to 2024," Chaturvedi said.
"I have only highlighted the asset declaration by them in 2019 vs 2024. It clearly shows that their decision was only for their interests and against Maharashtra and its people," Uddhav camp leader added while speaking to news agency ANI on Friday.
