Maharashtra News: In a tragic incident, a teen in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district died by suicide on the day of his admission to a medical college after clearing NEET UG 2025 examination. The 19-year-old boy, identified as Anurag Anil Borkar left behind a note mentioning that he did not wish to become a doctor.

As per an NDTV report, Anurag was a resident of Nawargaon in Sindewahi taluka and lived with his family. He had cleared the medical entrance exam with a 99.99 percentile. He bagged All India Rank of 1475 in the OBC category.

Anurag was supposed to go to Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur to pursue his MBBS course.

Anurag was found hanging at his residence. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, according to police as per the report.

Anurag had written in the note that he did not wish to become a doctor. Navargaon Police is carrying out an investigation into the matter, NDTV reported, quoting police sources.
