Maharashtra Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Maharashtra are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that the Vidarbha region is set to receive heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds due to the formation of a low-pressure area from Gujarat to the Bay of Bengal. Apart from this, the other parts of the state will also witness light to moderate rainfall, leading to waterlogging in key regions. The continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

Apart from the heavy downpour, these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms, and the water level of the rivers is also expected to surge.
