Maharashtra Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Maharashtra are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that several key regions, including Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada, are set to receive heavy rainfall. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in some of the cities. Apart from this, these regions are also expected to witness a drop in temperature in the upcoming days. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts of the Konkan region, including Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall, along with cloudy skies and gentle breezes. While the maximum temperature of Mumbai is likely to be calculated at 33 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 25 degrees Celsius.
Apart from this, several cities of Western Maharashtra, including Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, and nearby ghat areas, are set to witness light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming days. The IMD stated that while the maximum temperature of Pune is likely to be calculated at 30 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 21 degrees Celsius.
The weather department further stated that several other regions, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, and Ahmednagar, are also likely to receive moderate rainfall in the upcoming days.

The IMD has advised the fishermen of the coastal regions to follow the guidelines and maintain a distance from the water bodies for the next few days. Apart from Maharashtra, several other states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, are also likely to receive rainfall.
