The incident, which occurred around 3PM, came to light after a video of the altercation went viral on social media.

According to a Times Of India report, the situation unfolded when Shamsher Ibrahim, Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector with Western Railway, was checking tickets in the First Class coach of the local train between Dadar and Borivli. The four passengers were asked to get off the train at Borivli station and were taken to the ticket checking office for further action. Once inside the office, the situation escalated. The viral video shows the man threatening railway staff, pushing objects and creating panic inside the office. A woman passenger, believed to be accompanying him, was seen crying and visibly distressed during the incident.

Railway staff tried to stop the man, but he allegedly attacked one of the ticket inspectors during the scuffle. Both the employee and the passenger sustained minor injuries and were given medical treatment soon after.
