Two-Year Closure Of Elphinstone Bridge From April 10
In other news, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will temporarily close the Elphinstone Bridge from April 10, 2025, for two years. This is to facilitate construction of the Elphinstone Flyover and the Shivdi-Worli Elevated Connector Flyover aimed at improving city traffic and connectivity.
MMRDA urged commuters to prepare for the disruption, announcing that traffic will be rerouted and congestion management measures will be put in place to ensure smoother flow during the project period.
