Mumbai Mega Block Today: The Central Railway has announced a mega block on Sunday, December 15, across multiple lines in Mumbai for essential maintenance work. The block will affect Harbour, Trans-Harbour, and Main Line services, with changes in train schedules and diversions expected to impact thousands of passengers.

Mumbai Mega Block Today: Harbour and Trans-Harbour Lines Affected

-Services on the Harbour Line between Panvel and Vashi (excluding the Port Line) will be cancelled from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. UP Harbour Line trains heading towards CSMT from Panvel, departing between 10:33 am and 3:49 pm, and DOWN services heading to Panvel/Belapur from CSMT between 9:45 am and 3:12 pm, will remain suspended during this period.

-On the Trans-Harbour Line, UP trains towards Thane departing Panvel between 11:02 am and 3:53 pm, and DOWN trains towards Panvel from Thane between 10:01 am and 3:20 pm, will also be cancelled.

-To mitigate inconvenience, special local trains will run between CSMT Mumbai and Vashi, while Trans-Harbour services will be available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul. Port Line services will continue to operate between Belapur/Nerul and Uran.

Mumbai Mega Block Today: Main Line Diversions

Maintenance work on the 5th and 6th lines between Vidyavihar and Thane will take place from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, resulting in diversions for several UP and DOWN Mail/Express trains.

Trains including the Pune-CSMT Sinhagad Express, Pune-CSMT Deccan Queen, Patna-LTT Express, Kakinada-LTT Express, Pune-CSMT Pragati Express, Nagpur-CSMT Express, and Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will be rerouted via the UP Fast Line at Thane and re-diverted to the 6th Line at Vidyavihar.

Mumbai Mega Block Today: DOWN Mail/Express Trains Diverted

Trains like the LTT-Gorakhpur Express, LTT-Jaynagar Pawan Express, and LTT-Tiruvananthapuram Netravati Express will take the DOWN Fast Line at Vidyavihar and will be redirected to the 5th Line at Thane.

Mumbai Mega Block Today: Essential Maintenance for Safety

Central Railway has clarified that these mega blocks are vital for the upkeep of railway infrastructure and to ensure passenger safety. While such maintenance work is necessary, passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly and bear with the temporary inconvenience.

Commuters can rely on the special services provided during the block to minimise disruptions and are advised to check updated train schedules before travelling.
